I'LL GET THIS: FUTURE OF BBC TWO SERIES IN DOUBT AFTER COVID DELAY

BBC Two's entertainment series now seems unlikely to be returning, TV Zone understands.

I'll Get This is described as a 'refreshing take on the panel show format' and sees five famous faces meet at a restaurant and reluctantly surrender their credit cards.

They play a series of funny and revealing games with the loser of the games having to pick up the bill for everyone, making it an expensive night for one of the celebrities.

Pre-pandemic, TV Zone understands the BBC were minded to commission a third series to air in late 2020/early 2021. The pandemic and lockdowns from March 2020 onwards prevented the commission moving forward.

TV Zone has now been told that the BBC returning to the format is looking increasingly unlikely. The BBC declined to comment when approached by TV Zone.

The first saw saw the likes of Richard Madeley, Rachel Johnson and Dotty, through to Victoria Coren Mitchell, Griff Rhys Jones and Harry Redknapp. The show returned for a second series with celebs including Rylan Clark, Anton Du Beke and Carol Vorderman.

Previous episodes of I'll Get This are available on BBC iPlayer.
