GLOW UP: MEET THIS YEAR'S MUAs AND GUEST JUDGES

BBC Three has today announced that Adam, Charlie, Kris, Mikaél, Ryan, Sophie, Rachel, Nancé, Lisa and Yong-Chin will make up the brand new cast of Glow Up’s aspiring and talented MUAs, as the hit series returns for its fourth series.

The 10 aspiring make-up artists are tested by leading industry experts in varied high-stakes Professional Assignments from TV to theatre, fashion to front covers and online beauty campaigns.

At the Glow Up Studio their talents are pushed to the limit with creative make-up transformations and each week the two MUAs who least impress series judges, Val Garland and Dominic Skinner, go head-to-head in a Face Off elimination, putting their technical skills under the spotlight. After 8 weeks, the last MUA standing is crowned Britain’s Next Make-up Star, winning a contract assisting some of the world’s top make-up artists.

Presenter Maya Jama joins resident judges Val Garland and Dominic Skinner as they welcome a sparkling array of guest judges and experts from the worlds of beauty, TV, music and fashion, including:

  • Ivy Weir-Ikpeme, Brand Styling Manager for Gymshark.

  • Dr Anjali Mahto, Consultant Dermatologist and Author of ‘The Skincare Bible’.

  • Maryse Gosselin, Make-up Designer for Cirque Du Soleil.

  • Danny Marie Elias, one of the UK’s leading TV and Film make-up and prosthetic artists.

  • Marjorie Lacombe-Jelinek, Global Creative Director for H&M Beauty.

  • Hector Espinal, Global Make-up Artist for Fenty Beauty.

  • Dan Moller, Creative Strategist and AR Specialist at Meta.

  • Paige Piskin, US based AR make-up and character artist.

  • Pablo Rodriguez, legendary make-up artist.

  • Mark Fast, world-renowned British Fashion designer.

  • Manny MUA, Make-up artist, YouTuber, entrepreneur and beauty blogger.

  • Rankin, globally-renowned photographer and director.

Series four sees the battle of the brushes take place across multiple real-world professional assignments and challenges, as the MUAs get to work on everything from studio shoots and campaigns with H&M and Gymshark, through to aliens inspired by Dr Who and circus performers for Cirque du Soleil.

Instagram AR make-up and character artist Paige Piskin – who has amassed over 20 billion impressions and 100 million shares – joins as a guest judge as the MUAs create their own Instagram filters, Fenty Beauty’s Hector Espinal sets the MUAs the task of creating a celebrity editorial look for Rolling Stone UK Magazine and the MUAs are booked to create runway looks for one of the world’s leading fashion designers, Mark Fast, with the help of legendary make-up artist, Pablo Rodriguez.

Glow Up: Britain’s Next Make-Up Star (8x60’) is a Wall to Wall production for BBC Three.
