GORDON, GINO AND FRED: ROAD TRIP SET TO RETURN TO ITV

The hit ITV travel show will return, despite previous reports that it was put on hold due to the three stars' schedules.

Gordon, Gino And Fred: Road Trip is set to return for a brand new series next year, according to The Sun. Reports from Cheshire Live suggest a Christmas special is also set to air later this year.

In 2020 it was announced the series had been renewed for 18 more episodes, comprising of two series plus two Christmas specials. These plans were scuppered during filming in 2021 which was cut short due to Covid, and never picked up due to other commitments.

An insider told The Sun: "He is something of a victim of his own success at the moment, and he has so much on it’s tricky fitting it all in. He already has something of a logistical conundrum co-ordinating his diary with the busy Fred and Gino...

They continued: "...and that’s before they try to set up a string of filming locations — which have yet to be decided. But they are determined to hit the road again as soon as possible and deliver the new show as planned."

Speaking on the recommission in 2020, Gordon Ramsay said: “Another three years with Gino and Fred, are you kidding me? Just joking. Who knew, when we headed out to Italy in the summer of 2018, I would find friends for life in Gino and Fred?..

"We have already shared some incredible adventures, amazing food and plenty of hilarious disasters and pranks as we’ve road-tripped across Europe, America and this winter in Lapland, and I seriously cannot wait to do it all over again and again and again!"

Previous episodes of Gordon, Gino And Fred: Road Trip are available to view on ITV Hub.
