Gary Lineker introduces live coverage of the opening match of this summer’s European Championship, with Turkey travelling to face Group A rivals Italy at Rome’s Stadio Olimpico.

After the shock of failing to qualify for the 2018 World Cup – a tournament they had not missed since 1958 – Italy have been revitalised by former Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, who has rebuilt his side around emerging talents such as AC Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma and Inter Milan midfielder Nicolo Barella.
