CHEAT: NETFLIX GAMESHOW AXED AFTER ONE SERIES

Netflix have reportedly axed its first ever UK quiz show Cheat after one series.

The series was Netflix's first ever UK quiz show and was hosted by EastEnders star Danny Dyer and comedian Ellie Taylor. Cheat was a high-stakes quiz show where contestants can literally cheat their way to a fortune.

In every episode, four brave players have their knowledge put to the ultimate test, as they fight it out over three rounds to avoid elimination and build a jackpot worth up to £50,000. But there’s one crucial twist, if you don’t know the answer… it pays to cheat!

A source told The Sun: "Danny was great as host, as was Ellie, but Netflix thought one series was just about right. It didn’t pick up a big following and will hardly go down in game show folklore. He enjoyed making the series, especially banking the pay cheque."

The show is produced by Talkback label Fremantle and is available to watch on Netflix now.
