Channel 4 has ordered 60 new episodes across two series of their daytime show Chateau DIY.

Evolving from the hugely successful Escape To The Chateau brand, the spin-off show Chateau DIY follows a group of British expats all following their dream, with audacious plans to overhaul crumbling fairy-tale French stately homes.

Chateau DIY debuted in April 2018 and was Channel 4’s biggest daytime launch since 2010. It was also nominated for a Broadcast Award for Best Daytime Show in 2019. The previous series of Chateau DIY which aired in Spring 2020 averaged 1 million viewers per episode, up 84% on slot average, and a 9.2% share of audience, up 40% on slot average.

Jayne Stanger, Commissioning Editor for Daytime at Channel 4 said, “We are thrilled that the Chateau DIY journey will be continuing with more episodes on Channel 4. With many of us embarking on our own DIY projects in lockdown, viewers can expect a large dose of inspiration, escapism and creativity.”
