CHANNEL 5 TO MARK PEARL HARBOR ANNIVERSARY THIS DECEMBER

Channel 5 have announce new documentary series which will trace Japan’s attack on the US airbase at Pearl Harbor.

The three-part series is set to air this December to mark the 80th anniversary of the battle.

Each episode will follow the chronological timeline, with interviews from both American and Japanese survivors who are more than 100 years old. It will also make use of archive material to paint a detailed picture of the attack and how it changed the course of the war and feature the naval communications from the time, along with and recently filmed underwater footage of shipwrecks from the attack.

Executive Producer, Peter Wyles, said: “As the 80th anniversary of Pearl Harbour approaches, our films will take the closest look at the event yet. We have an incredible cast of characters, including some of the oldest World War II contributors ever to be filmed.”
