CHANNEL 4 REVEALS FULL US ELECTION COVERAGE PUNDITRY LINE-UP

Airing from 10pm on Tuesday 5th November in partnership with CNN, the eight-hour live programme is fronted by Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy, alongside the co-presenter of Global’s daily podcast The News Agents Emily Maitlis, both presenting from Washington DC. 

The duo will be reprising their roles from Channel 4’s critically acclaimed coverage of the 2024 UK general election, also produced by ITN Productions, which saw the broadcaster’s audience double in comparison to 2019.

The presenting team for America Decides will be joined by BBC and Channel 5 host Jeremy Vine in London, marking his Channel 4 election debut to front a ‘data hub’ providing infographics and the story behind the stats as all-important battleground state results are declared.

Channel 4 has bolstered its offering for the 2024 US Presidential election taking place on November 5th, today announcing a range of new high-profile guests that will join its first overnight programme for a US election since 1992.

Political heavyweights from the UK and USA will be joining the programme. Having earlier this month confirmed that former UK and Australian Prime Ministers Boris Johnson and Malcolm Turnbull would offer their insights from Channel 4’s studio in Washington DC, former UK government ministers Michael Gove and David Miliband are both now confirmed to be joining alongside.

Democrat Carol Moseley Braun, the first ever African American woman elected to the US Senate and Republicans John Bolton and Sean Spicer, Donald Trump’s former National Security Adviser and White House Press Secretary respectively, will provide their expert analysis on the night.

Joining the exclusive line-up of guests that includes Stormy Daniels and Brian Cox, the broadcaster’s star-studded lineup is now also confirmed to feature the artist Grayson Perry and singer-songwriter Rufus Wainwright.

America Decides: US Election Results will air on Channel 4 from 10pm on Tuesday 5th November.
