CHANNEL 4: UPCOMING PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER

Gogglebox
From the Saturday night juggernauts and the week’s big soaps, to documentaries and gritty drama, the Gogglebox households offer witty, insightful, feisty and sometimes emotional critiques of the week’s popular and topical TV shows. Their reviews could also be interrupted by breaking news stories and controversial TV events – subjects the outspoken households certainly won’t be shying away from.
Celebrity Gogglebox
Featuring a rolling cast of famous faces, some of Britain’s best loved personalities turn their hand to being the country’s most opinionated viewers for a brand new series. Celebrity Gogglebox offers sharp, insightful, funny and sometimes emotional critiques of popular and topical TV shows, sparking debate and giving the audience the chance to share those 'we said that!' moments with some of their favourite celebrities.
The Great Celebrity Bake Off
In each episode Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond are joined by four different celebrities all aiming to impress the judges with their baking skills. But only one celebrity per episode will be awarded the coveted star baker apron. On your marks, get set, bake for Stand Up To Cancer!
Bake Off The Professionals
Bake Off: The Professionals is back for a tenth series with a fresh batch of pastry chefs competing to be named Britain’s Best. The Great British Bake Off alumni and Junior Bake Off judge Liam Charles and comeidan Ellie Taylor return to Firle Place in Sussex to issue a new raft of challenges. Benoit Blin, Chef Pâtissier at Raymond Blanc’s Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons, and Cherish Finden, formerly Executive Pastry Chef of the Pan Pacific London Hotel, judge once more.
The Handmaids Tale (S6)
Adapted from the classic novel by Margaret Atwood,The Handmaid’s Tale is the story of life in the dystopia of Gilead, a totalitarian society in what was formerly the United States. Offred (played by Elizabeth Moss), one of the few fertile women known as Handmaids in the oppressive Republic of Gilead, struggles to survive as a reproductive surrogate for a powerful Commander and his resentful wife.
Get Millie Black
Get Millie Black is a deeply personal and wholly authentic version of Kingston, which has never been seen on screen before. Told through the unique perspective of Millie (Tamara Lawrance) – a girl born on the Rock, raised in London, who claims to be both British and Jamaican, Millie yet somehow belongs to neither place
The Change (S2)
At the start of series two, Linda (Bridget Christie) has got some explaining to do. Faced with the repercussions of the lies she’s told the forest community, along with losing the Mother Tree, and the arrival of husband Steve who has come to bring her home, Linda's future in the forest looks uncertain.
Disability Benefits
Having had her state benefits cut to shreds after being made redundant, a young woman with very little left to lose begins to build an illegal drugs empire. But Emily (Rosie Jones) isn’t your average street-dealing dope peddler – she’s sharp, funny, biting, highly educated – and on top of all that, she has cerebral palsy.
Tempting Fortune (S2)
A brand-new batch of contestants will be dropped into a tropical jungle location to take part in the ultimate test of willpower and honesty. Spending a number of days out in the wild, they will be provided with only basic rations and survival gear. Though the real test is not survival, it’s avoiding the numerous temptations thrown at them that could turn their insect-ridden jungle stay into the luxurious tropical trip of a lifetime.
Taskmaster (S19)
Competing in the fiercest and most absurd show on television and preparing to tackle perplexing and extraordinary challenges in the name of critically-acclaimed entertainment are: Fatiha El-Ghorri, Jason Mantzoukas, Mathew Baynton, Rosie Ramsey and Stevie Martin. Each are hoping to win valuable points, eternal glory, and favourable treatment from the Taskmaster, but who will emerge victorious, raise the trophy above their head, and call themselves a Taskmaster champion?
The Honesty Box
The series brings a cast of singles together in “Truetopia”, a sunny and romantic paradise where truth and honesty reign supreme. Ready to try a new approach, each single has signed up to this new radical dating experiment knowing they will be tested, in the hope it will lead to true love. To encourage full transparency in their new relationships there is a prize fund of £100,000 up for grabs, but only if the daters choose to be open and completely honest about their true feelings.
Virgin Island
All the contestants identify as virgins and have never had sex before. Across the series, viewers will follow the twelve contestants as they take tentative steps towards losing their virginity and delve into the science behind sexual attraction. The contestants will be coached by Celeste Hirshman and Danielle Harel, along with 'sexological bodyworkers' Aisha, Thomas and Joy, plus 'surrogate partners' Kat and Andre.
