BLACK DOVES: CASTING ANNOUNCED FOR NEW NETFLIX DRAMA

Netflix have announced that Ben Whishaw and Sarah Lancashire have joined Keira Knightley in the cast of Black Doves, written and created by Joe Barton (The Lazarus Project).

Also cast are Andrew Buchan, Omari Dougles, Andrew Koji, Kathryn Hunter, Sam Troughton, Ella Lily Hyland, Adam Silver, Ken Nwosu, and Gabrielle Creevy.

Black Doves is a story of friendship and sacrifice, set over the festive period in London. It surrounds Helen Webb (Knightley), a politicians wife and professional spy. For many years, Helen has been passing her husband's secrets onto the shadowy organisation, Black Doves.

Showrunner Joe Barton said: “I started writing the scripts for this show over last year’s Christmas holidays, fuelled by turkey sandwiches and discarded bottles of cream liquor...

"To be now going into production with a cast and crew full of people whose work I admire so much is unbelievably exciting and I couldn’t be more thrilled to get to see this show come to life.”
