THE BIG CELEBRITY DETOX AXED BY E4 AFTER ONE SERIES
The Big Celebrity Detox, the E4 reality series which saw eight celebrities check themselves into a detox retreat, has been axed by Channel 4 after one series.
In the series, the celebrities were guided by international spiritual guide Sah D'Simone who took them through eight stages of enlightenment in the peace and tranquillity of rural Yorkshire.
Celebrities on the series included Kerry Katona, Megan Barton Hanson, David Potts, Michael Venom Page, Princess Olga Romanov, Toby Aromolaran, Chloe Veitch and Martin Roberts.
A Channel 4 spokesperson told The Sun: "Channel 4, like all broadcasters, makes decisions in the natural cycle of programming about which shows to rest, return or conclude to ensure we always innovate and offer viewers the best range of content."
A source added to the publication: "Bosses are proud of Celebrity Detox which produced jaw-dropping and disgusting telly. While viewers were often grossed out and left laughing at their screens, it's been decided it's best left as a one-off. Viewers might forget the show but for the cast they won't anytime soon."
The Big Celebrity Detox begins Monday 15th May at 9pm on E4.
