BIG BROTHER TONIGHT: DAY WEDNESDAY 23rd OCTOBER 2024

Here's a rundown of what to expect in tonight's episode of Big Brother, which continues on ITV2 and ITVX.

HOUSEMATES TRANSFORM INTO RATS FOR THIS WEEK’S SHOPPING TASK 

The Big Brother house has been transformed into the R.A.T. Laboratory for this week’s shopping task.

Big Brother says, “Good morning and welcome to the Rodent Assessment Testing Lab… this state-of-the-art laboratory carries out groundbreaking research into rodent behaviour on its long-tailed test subjects.”

Big Brother continues, “However, the lab's future funding hangs in the balance and will be decided by today’s important experiments. If the research is completed successfully, the lab will receive luxury funding and will be the envy of the scientific community. Thank you for watching.”

Led by some of the country’s top scientists, Professor Ali and Professor Dean, assisted by lab interns, Hanah and Lily; their job is to conduct experiments on the lab rats (the rest of the Housemates) in order to understand rat behaviour. The fate of the luxury shopping budget hangs in their hands, as they must correctly predict most of the results of the experiments in order to pass the task.

Dean says, “I’ve dealt with a few rats in my time, I feel like we’ll do this. We’ll do this.”

With the fate of the luxury shopping budget in their hands, will the scientists predict the majority of the test results correctly to pass the task?

CAN THE HOUSEMATES RESIST TEMPTATION? 

For one of the tests, the scientists must decide whether lab rats Emma and Thomas will put themselves first and eat what is offered to them in the Diary Room, at the expense of their fellow Housemates. 

Scientists, Ali, Dean, Hanah and Lily decide that rats, Emma and Thomas will be loyal to the house and NOT eat the food they are offered. Will they live up to the scientists’ prediction?

Emma and Thomas enter the diary room and see the sweets in front of them.

Thomas says, “Oh my God.”

Emma says, “Oh it says eat me [referring to the cake]. Oh Big Brother.”

In the lab, watching Emma and Thomas in front of the sweets, Hanah exclaims, “No Emma, look at Emma’s faceeeeee!”

Back in the diary room, Thomas says, “I don’t trust you, Big Brother.”

Big Brother gives rats Emma and Thomas the choice to either tuck into the decadent sweets that lay in front of them with the catch being that if they choose to eat the food there will be a cost to the other rats, however they will never know they had anything to do with it.

Emma says, “What about if we accidentally tripped and fell into it and ingested a little bit?”

Thomas says, “What if I just stumped it a little?”

Big Brother says, “Thomas if you stumped it, then you are choosing to eat it.”

Are Emma and Thomas sick of their diet of porridge enough to feed their temptations or will they be loyal to the rest of the Housemates?
