SIMON COWELL 'PLANNING FOR BGT SPIN-OFFS' AFTER ULTIMATE MAGICIAN SUCCESS

Following its Ultimate Magician special in December, Simon Cowell is reportedly planning more one-off Britain's Got Talent specials.

It's thought that Cowell is keen for a one-off special focusing on animal acts. A source told The Sun: "Simon has long been a fan of the animal acts on Britain’s Got Talent so nobody was surprised when the notion of a furry friends special was raised...

They continued: "Ultimate Magician proved there’s an appetite for these spectacular showcases, so why not? There’s a couple of ideas on the table but the animals are leading the way at the moment."

The Ultimate Magician, which was hosted by Stephen Mulhern, saw the world’s most memorable and greatest magicians from past series of Got Talent compete to become the ultimate champion of magic and win a huge £50,000 cash prize.

This week, it was reported that Bruno Tonioli had signed-up to replace David Walliams on the judging panel for its upcoming regular series. More details can be found here.

Britain's Got Talent returns this Spring on ITV1 and ITVX.
