BBC THREE RATINGS BREAKDOWN: 01-06 FEBRUARY 2022
Here’s an overview of the ratings for BBC Three’s first week back on TV. All programmes listed aired on the channel between Tuesday 01st February and Sunday 06th February 2022. Figures are courtesy of BARB, and include those who watched live and those who watched within a seven-day period on catch-up.
The most watched show of the week, unsurprisingly, was the launch of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK Vs The World. The opening episode was watched by a strong audience of 926,776 from 9pm on opening night.
Earlier that evening, less than 80,000 tuned into the channel’s launch party with Radio 1, followed by 89,658 and 99,911 for Eating With My Ex at 8pm and 8:30pm respectively. 96,505 stayed with the channel after Drag Race UK Vs The World to watch the first episode of new comedy short Lazy Susan.
Later on Tuesday, 164,035 viewers watched documentary Cherry Valentine: Gypsy Queen And Proud. On Saturday evening,184,412 tuned in for new ob-doc series Freeze: Skating On The Edge.
Africa Cup of Nations proved popular, with Sunday’s game watched by 705,802; 557,818 on Thursday night and 364,975 on Wednesday night. The Winter Olympics was also broadcast on the channel from 10:30pm on Friday, watched by 110,735 viewers.
Repeats of Killing Eve were watched by just over 150k on Thursday night, and repeats of This Country were watched by 110k on Wednesday night.
