As we previously reported in April 2024, a local version of Canadian music competition format Zenith could be heading to the UK, with new reports suggesting the project is in development at ITV.

Zenith sees 24 "well-known" singers from different generations competing over multiple weeks and performing to an audience of 100 judges who are grouped by their age, including Boomers, Generation X, Generation Y and Generation Z.
Bandicoot, who produce The Masked Singer for ITV, have auctioned the rights for a UK version. Meanwhile, The Masked Singer has been renewed for a seventh series on ITV, due to air in 2026.
Katie Rawcliffe, Head of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning, ITV said: “The Masked Singer is one of the nation’s best loved entertainment shows and we are delighted that viewers will get to enjoy a further two series. We've seen some of music and TV's biggest names masquerading in giant colourful, crazy costumes and the next two series promise to be even bigger.”
More details will be revealed in due course.
