WHO WANTS TO BE A MILLIONAIRE TO WELCOME BACK STUDIO AUDIENCE

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire will welcome back a studio audience for the first time since 2019, after the studio audiences were excluded due to Covid-19 guidelines.

The return of the studio audience means the return of the 'Ask The Audience' lifeline. In the previous two series, the lifeline was replaced by a second 'Phone A Friend' lifeline whilst filming during the pandemic.

The new series will record two episodes a day, daily between Friday 18th and Monday 21st February at MediaCity in Salford.

Last week, ITV announced the commission of a spin-off game Fastest Finger First. Hosted by Anita Rani, the series will offer contestants the one prize money can’t buy – a guaranteed place on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire and the opportunity to win a million pounds.

Five contestants play against each other to take it in turn to work their way up the question ladder. The two players with the biggest score at the end of the round go head-to-head in a Fastest Finger First dual.

At the end of each episode, whoever is in the seat when the Klaxon sounds has won a place to be fast tracked to sit in the Millionaire hot seat in front of Jeremy Clarkson by-passing the usual Fastest Fingers First round that opens the show.

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire is expected to return this Summer on ITV and ITV Hub. For audience tickets, click here.
