VICTORIA BECKHAM 'SET FOR OWN SERIES' FOLLOWING NETFLIX BECKHAM SUCCESS
Victoria Beckham is reportedly in talks for her own series following the success of Beckham on Netflix.
A source told The Sun: "This will be a documentary exploring ÂVictoria’s meteoric rise in the fashion world; how she’s built a fashion and beauty empire from scratch. The focus will very much be on the business brand, but will detail how she had to overcome the naysayers post-Spice Girls and defied the cynics...
"At times her journey wasn’t easy, and there will be a blood, sweat and tears look behind the scenes at the sheer graft she has put into Âreinventing herself. Off the back of David’s success, and how well she came across, people will also see, in depth, her wit and sarcasm...
"Of course there will be some personal life elements and David, and her celebrity pals, will feature in the background. It’s early days but everyone is very excited about this production."
Beckham is the definitive multi-part series will go beyond the shine of stardom to explore Beckham’s humble working class beginnings in East London, and the drive and determination that led him to become one of the most recognisable and scrutinised athletes of all time.
It will feature a mixture of never-before-seen personal archive footage from the last forty years and interviews with David Beckham, his family and friends, and key figures who have been part of his journey both on and off the pitch.
The project is helmed by Academy Award-winner Fisher Stevens (PALMER, And We Go Green, The Cove) who serves as director and executive producer, along with Academy Award and Emmy Award-winning producer John Battsek (One Day in September, Searching for Sugar Man, Winter on Fire).
