BBC CONFIRMS NEW YEAR'S DAY 2026 LAUNCH FOR NEW SERIES OF THE TRAITORS

Claudia Winkleman hosts the ultimate reality game of trust and treachery with new twists and new players. Time to take to the edge of your seat once more as 22 people from across the UK descend on a Scottish castle to win up to £120k. Let the mind games begin.

The new series will launch on 1st and 2nd January at 8pm each night. For fans who want more, the official visualised companion podcast is returning. The Traitors: Uncloaked will start on BBC Two immediately after the main series on Thursday 1 January at 9.05pm.

The show will then move over to BBC One for the remainder of the series from Friday 2 January at 9pm onwards and will also be available on BBC Sounds and BBC iPlayer. Host Ed Gamble will be joined by celebrities and players from previous series to analyse and react to developments in the castle.

Also this Christmas, Claudia Winkleman presents a concert featuring melodramatic versions of pop tunes heard on The Traitors from Britney Spears’ Toxic to Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy. There are also dramatic classical favourites including O Fortuna from Carmina Burana and Lacrimosa from Mozart’s Requiem, plus an exclusive new take on the series’ famous theme tune written by composer Sam Watts.

Joined by famous faces from past series as well as characters from the challenges, this is a musical invitation into the world of The Traitors for all fans - whether you’re a Faithful or a Traitor. The Traitors at the Proms is filmed at the Royal Albert Hall in London and presented by Claudia Winkleman with music from the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra, BBC Symphony Chorus and BBC Singers.

Ahead of the hotly anticipated fourth series coming in 2026, it is also confirmed that The Traitors will return for a fifth series and applications are now open.
