THE TOURIST: FIRST LOOK IMAGES FROM SECOND SERIES OF BBC DRAMA STARRING JAMIE DORNAN

First-look pictures released today of the highly anticipated second series of The Tourist see the return of the BAFTA and Golden Globe award nominated Jamie Dornan (Belfast, The Fall) and Danielle Macdonald (Unbelievable, Dumplin’).

The images feature Jamie Dornan resuming his role as Elliot Stanley, a man looking to rediscover his true identity after his memory loss, alongside Danielle Macdonald as police officer Helen Chambers, following their adventure in the Outback.

Set against the striking backdrop of Ireland, the pair are confronted by friends and foes as they attempt to uncover the secrets of Elliot’s past.

As Elliot and Helen are dragged into a longstanding family feud, series two introduces a raft of new characters including Detective Ruairi Slater (Conor MacNeill), Niamh Cassidy (Olwen Fouéré) and the McDonnell family – Donal (Diarmaid Murtagh), Orla (Nessa Matthews), Fergal (Mark McKenna), and Frank (Francis Magee).

Full of shocking plot twists and the same off-beat comedy that made series one a success, The Tourist is set to return with even more quirky characters and intense action.

Series one launched with 11.4 million viewers in the UK and holds the title as the UK’s most-watched drama of 2022 across all platforms.

The Tourist series two is a Two Brothers Pictures (an All3Media company) production for the BBC, in association with Stan, ZDF and All3Media International created and written by Harry and Jack Williams (The Missing, Baptiste, Fleabag).
