KAY MELLOR PLANNING FIFTH SERIES OF THE SYNDICATE

The Syndicate creator Kay Mellor has confirmed that she is planning for the series to return for a fifth series.

Speaking to the Daily Star, Kay said: "It took six years for the current series to come to screen. But there’s something cooking. The ingredients are there, so it’s there. But it’s not cooked up yet."

The final episode in the current series of The Syndicate airs Tuesday at 9pm on BBC One. Catch-up now on BBC iPlayer.
