THE HIT LIST RENEWED FOR FIFTH SERIES ON BBC ONE

The Hit List, BBC One’s music quiz where contestants must name as many hit songs and artists under intense pressure, is set to return for another series this year.

Hosted by Marvin and Rochelle Humes, The Hit List is an exciting and highly addictive music quiz for the whole family that will have you all shouting the answers at the TV.

It’s deceptively simple because all you have to do to win a potential £10,000 prize is name the artist and title of hit songs. You’ve ‘heard’ all the answers before but can you remember them with enough speed and accuracy when under pressure?

In each show, three pairs of contestants put their music knowledge to the ultimate test as they attempt to name as many songs and artists as possible. The songs played are all hits from a wide range of music genres from the 1950s to today, meaning the whole family can play along.

The third series (which aired before the fourth series in 2020) of The Hit List was one of the top 10 Entertainment series on BBC One in 2020 - with a series average of 3.8m across nine episodes - including its Celebrity Specials.

Hosting duo Marvin and Rochelle Humes previously said: “As hosts, it’s a show we love to present but we also love to play along ourselves! We are grateful for all of the positive feedback audiences give to the show and we hope that everyone enjoys watching it as much as we enjoy making it.”
