ITV are set to commission a second series of The Assembly following the success of its first outing. The Sun newspaper suggest producers have already started scouting for potential guests.

The format, which followed a BBC pilot last year, saw celebrities being questioned by a remarkable group of inquisitive interviewers who are autistic, neurodivergent and/or learning disabled. ITV are yet to formally announced a second series.
Each episode of The Assembly sees a different celebrity forced to cast aside everything they were ever taught by their media trainers as they each face their most honest, funny, chaotic – and heartwarming – interview to date. Carefully considered PR fluff won’t cut it on this show, and the celebrities can expect plenty of mischief and surprises once they get in the hotseat…
On the first series, currently streaming on ITVX were actors Danny Dyer, David Tennant, singer Jade Thirlwall and broadcaster Gary Lineker.
The Assembly is available now on ITVX.
