TAKE A HIKE RENEWED FOR SECOND SERIES ON BBC TWO

Set against the backdrop of the UK’s most breath-taking landscapes, steeped in local history and fascinating insights, and led by a host of compelling characters - this format continues to offer warmth, wonder and a healthy dose of competition.

This year the series travels to North West Wales, Yorkshire and the Isle of Skye where it sees five local walkers indulge the viewer in the wonder and spectacle of their favourite hikes.

From windswept coastal paths to invigorating mountain climbs, magical woodlands to cascading waterfalls, this series epitomises everything we consider remarkable and beautiful about Britain.

Lindsay Bradbury, Commissioning Editor for BBC Daytime comments: “It's been fantastic to have the opportunity to bring outstanding talent and diversity into the 6:30pm with Clive Myrie. Plus commissioning formats which can either bring escapist joy with Kitchen Tales and Rick Stein in early peak or distinctive jaw dropping crime stories for the morning."

Rob Unsworth, Head of BBC Daytime comments: “This is a great line-up to kick off 2023, with new formats and returning hits tackling some of the topics we know BBC Daytime viewers love most, as well as including some of their favourite faces. Viewers can start their days with police chases and scammers and end it with a wonderfully escapist road trip in Italy.”

Take a Hike is a 15x30 for BBC Two and iPlayer.
