SUSPECT: CHANNEL 4 DRAMA RENEWED FOR SECOND SERIES

Channel 4 have commissioned a second series of Suspect, the eight-part series adapted from Danish drama Forhøret.



The first series, which starred James Nesbitt, Richard E Grant, Joely Richardson, Anne-Marie Duff, Antonia Thomas, Niamh Algar, Sacha Dhawan, Sam Heughan and Ben Miller, averaged 2.6m the eight episodes earlier this year.



James Nesbitt played a detective investigating his daughter’s murder. The second series will be led by psychotherapist Susannah Frater (Ann-Marie Duff), as she tries to track down a dangerous patient before he kills again.


Her quest will lead her to uncover devastating new information that will make her reassess their daughter’s death.



Jo McGrath, CCO of Eagle Eye Drama, commented, “We are so excited to be working with Anne-Marie Duff again, and can’t wait to get cracking on assembling another outstanding cast around her. With its distinctive narrative architecture and filming approach, season two promises to be a unique, intense and utterly addictive crime series.”
