'SQUID GAME' CREATOR CONFIRMS SECOND SEASON OF NETFLIX SMASH HIT

The series revolves around a contest where 456 players, who are all in financial debt, risk their lives to play a series of deadly children's games for the chance to win a 45.6 billion prize.

It's creator has now confirmed that he's planning a second season of Netflix's most popular series ever, with more than 142 million 'member households' during its first four weeks on the platform.

The show's creator Hwang Dong-hyuk told the Associated Press: "So there’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season...

"So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say, there will indeed be a second season. It's in my head right now. I'm in the planning process currently. But I do think it’s too early to say when and how it’s going to happen. So I will promise you this… Gi-hun will come back, he’ll do something for the world."
