Last year, Rob Beckett presented a pilot episode for a potential new ITV comedy entertainment series, titled Smashed It!. TV Zone understands ITV have decided not to take this to series, though the format could be picked up by another broadcaster.

According to a teaser shared by SRO Audiences, the format sees six celebrities, made up of three team captains each with a celebrity guest, attempt to complete a variety of hilarious challenges and tasks during different rounds in the show.

The celebrities who appeared in the pilot recording, according to members of the audience, were Coronation Street's Antony Cotton, presenter Joe Swash, Loose Women's Frankie Bridge, This Morning's Josie Gibson, comedian Darren Harriott and presenter Chris Kamara.

The pilot was recorded with a live studio audience at Dock10 Studios at MediaCity in Manchester in January 2022.
