SKY NEWS TO LAUNCH NIGHTLY POLITICAL SHOW WITH SOPHY RIDGE

Sky News is set to launch a new daily evening politics programming this September, live from Westminster, hosted by Sophy Ridge.

Described by Sky as "a new nightly political show that will be a fresh take on the days political story", the show will launch in September when Parliament returns from its Summer recess.

Ridge currently hosts two political shows on the channel, Sophy Ridge On Sunday and The Take With Sophy Ridge, which air on Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings respectively.

Sky have not confirmed the slot for the programme, or how it will affect Sophy's existing shows on the news channel.
