SKY TO LAUNCH SKY MIX, PICK CHANNEL CLOSES

Sky announce that its free-to-air channel Pick will relaunch as Sky Mix on Wednesday 18 October and will be the new home for previous hit Sky shows on Freeview, including Sky Original content that has never been seen before on free TV.

The channel will have themed weeknight schedules, with viewers being treated to dedicated days for drama, comedy, and true crime, among others.

Sky Mix will be the only place to find Sky Original films on free TV, with classic titles like SAS: Red Notice among those making their Freeview premiere along with other loved favourites from the extensive Sky Cinema library.

The channel will also host a pick of back catalogue prestige TV shows, with viewers able to watch the first series of True Detective, ahead of the new series launching exclusively on Sky Atlantic in 2024.

Zai Bennett, Managing Director of Content, Sky UK and Ireland, said: “Sky Mix is the perfect free-to-air home for us to showcase some of our favourite Sky shows that have already been a hit with our customers on Sky and NOW platforms...

"We’re proud to share earlier series of shows like Rob & Romesh Vs, True Detective and A Discovery of Witches as well as showcasing a selection of our Sky Original films from previous years on this brand-new free TV brand.”

Sky Mix will launch on Freeview channel 11 on Wednesday 18 October. Sky Arts will move to Freeview channel 36 in Pick’s previous slot but will otherwise continue unchanged.
