Sanditon, the acclaimed drama based on Jane Austen’s final, will return for a third series.

Justin Young (Death in Paradise, Ripper Street), who wrote four episodes of the first season of Sanditon, will develop the new seasons and take the role of lead writer and executive producer.

The recommission for a third series was announced in Spring 2021, when it was revealed the programme would return for a second outing, which has just concluded on ITV in the UK.

Sanditon II begins Friday 22nd July at 9pm on ITV
