ROB & RYLAN TO EMBARK ON SECOND GRAND TOUR FOR BBC TWO
Rob Rinder and Rylan Clark are set to embark on a second series of their Grand Tour for a brand new series on BBC Two and iPlayer. The second series is titled 'A Passage To India', named after the E.M. Forster novel from 1920s.
A source told The Sun: "It took a long time to decide where to send Rob and Rylan after their first series - a hard act to follow. But series two will see them travelling across India to experience its unique culture, architecture and art. It’s going to be as action-packed as the first series, if not more, and being so far away from home will no doubt see Rob and Rylan experience plenty of firsts."
The first series saw the pair begin their journey in Venice – coming face-to-face with one of the largest paintings on canvas in the world, Tintoretto‘s Il Paradiso. They also discover the artistic legacy of Canaletto, before heading to Murano, an island in the Venetian lagoon, to try glassblowing.
Rob attempts to fulfil a lifelong dream, by conducting Vivaldi’s Four Seasons in the church where it was first performed, while Rylan discovers the hidden side of Venice’s famous Carnival. Finally both Rob and Rylan step out of their comfort zone by donning drag and taking to the city’s Grand Canal, alongside twenty other drag queens...
Rob & Rylan's Grand Tour is available now on BBC iPlayer.
