COMIC RELIEF: DAVID TENNANT 'SET TO APPEAR AS THE DOCTOR IN RED NOSE DAY SKETCH'
David Tennant presents the UK’s biggest night of comedy and entertainment, with hilarious sketches, live performances, big surprises and stunning music acts, all to raise much-needed cash for good causes at home and across the world.

David Tennant, who is the lead presenter this year in the absence of Lenny Henry, is joined in the studio by Paddy McGuinness, Zoe Ball, Joel Dommett and AJ Odudu. New photos have been released which shows Tennant alongside Comic Relief legend Lenny Henry.
No context has been given for the images. However, it's likely the images are from a short sketch in aid of Comic Relief in which Tennant appears in his Fourteenth Doctor attire. TV Zone reached out to the BBC and Comic Relief for comment.
During the telethon, comedians Flo and Joan perform their mischievous tribute to 35 years of Comic Relief. Oti Mabuse and Rylan Clark return after their epic battle against the elements in the Cairngorms. Plus, Claudia Winkleman and comedy duo Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders star in a celeb filled sketch for Red Nose Day based around the hit BBC One series The Traitors.

There will be a celebration of Gethin Jones, whose Strictly Fitness: Gethin Keeps Dancing challenge saw him dance for 24 hours with the help of some showbiz pals. And throughout the evening, a series of films highlight incredible and inspiring stories of the people supported by some of Comic Relief’s projects in the UK and around the world.

Donations can be made throughout the night by visiting bbc.co.uk/rednoseday or calling 03457 910 910. To donate five, 10, 20, 30, or 40 pounds, simply text the word FIVE, TEN, TWENTY, THIRTY or FORTY to 70702.
