Following a competitive tender process, BBC Studios has retained the contract to continue producing Rip Off Britain, the popular BBC Daytime consumer show. The contract is for three series per year of 15 episodes each of 45 mins; a total of 90 episodes across two years, commencing transmission from Spring 2026.

The series is fronted by long-term presenters Gloria Hunniford and Julia Somerville, with Louise Minchin joining the presenting line-up earlier this year. Together they tackle the most pressing consumer issues hitting audiences across the UK.

Rip off Britain will continue to bring audiences all the information they need to keep their money safely in their pocket – exposing rip-offs and scams, and providing expert advice. Audiences will see the ladies highlight and expose the latest consumer issues sweeping the nation.

Rob Unsworth, Head of BBC Daytime and Early Peak Commissioning: “Rip Off Britain is a key part of the BBC Daytime schedule that tackles the issues that matter to our viewers, and we were impressed with the ideas that BBC Studios came up with to continue to drive forward the success of this brand...

"This was an extremely competitive process and we would like to commend all the shortlisted producers for the high quality and comprehensive bids they put forward.”

Rip-Off Britain is available now on BBC iPlayer.
