Random Rewind: we look back at some the best, and occasionally worst, entertainment shows from the past decade.
Len Goodman's Partners In Rhyme
2017, BBC One
Partners In Rhyme was a primetime BBC One gameshow hosted by Strictly Come Dancing judge Len Goodman. It ran for one 12-episode series in 2017.
The format saw a contestants compete in a quick-fire animated rhyming round, at the end of which the one with the most points gets first pick of the two celebrity teams, and then it’s on to three rounds of hilarity.
Each episode saw rounds such as Mime The Rhyme, Rhymewatch and News At Len, where the teams must guess the rhyming headline in four fictional news stories.
The contestant with the most points after these rounds goes on to play Rhyme Against Time, where they must solve six, three-part rhymes against the clock in order to win a holiday.
The losing contestant doesn’t go home empty handed though, they leave with the coveted consolation prize of a Pen From Len.
The programme was not greeted with a positive reaction, with the second half of the series being postponed and airing in a much earlier teatime slot on Saturday night.
