Amazing Greys

Amazing Greys was a primetime ITV gameshow which aired for one series of 6x60' episodes in Spring 2014.

Paddy McGuiness recorded a pilot for the format in September 2013. The series was later commissioned for a six episode series, with Angela Rippon joining as co-host.

The format sees a 'young' contestant paired with an 'older star'. In order to win a cash prize, the contestant would have to defeat 'the greys' on at least two of three rounds.

'Grey' contestants included footballer Geoff Hurst, celebrity chef Prue Leith and tennis player Christine Truman. Other greys included DJ David Hamilton and athlete Mary Peters.

The show did not return for a second series. A source told The Sun: "Amazing Greys was a great show. Everyone was proud of it. But it just didn't capture the public's imagination and the ratings were not enough to warrant a second series."
