ITV drama Protection topped the week with 5,815,000 on Monday night, continuing with 6,137,000 on Sunday night. New drama This City Is Ours launched with 3,639,000 on Sunday night, preceded by Ten Pound Poms with 3,273,000.
Elsewhere in drama, A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story continued with 2,432,000 on Wednesday night, whilst Virdee concluded with 2,427,000 on BBC One. The first of two England Men's World Cup qualifiers on ITV was watched by 4,254,000.
Red Nose Day aired its annual Comic Relief telethon to 2,766,000 on Friday night. Last One Laughing UK launched on Prime Video with 2,976,100 for its first episode, continuing with 2,527,000 and 2,485,400 for its next two episodes respectively.
In entertainment, Big Night Of Musicals was watched by 2,710,000 on Saturday night, with Gladiators continuing with 3,391,000, The 1% Club with 4,779,000 and Britain's Got Talent with 5,411,000. The Apprentice was watched by 5,533,000 on BBC One.
In soaps, Coronation Street's most watched episode was Monday night with 4,453,000, Emmerdale's was Wednesday night with 3,975,00 and EastEnders hit a high on Tuesday night with 3,869,000. Casualty continued with 2,716,000.
