With the Olympics over, BBC One launched a range of new and returning series. The most watched programme of the week was the return of Celebrity Race Across The World on Wednesday night with 5,737,000.
Celebrity MasterChef returned on Tuesday night to 3,443,000. The series continued with 3,219,000 and 2,681,000 on Thursday and Friday night respectively. Freddie Flintoff returned to TV with his Field Of Dreams On Tour to 3,233,000 and Who Do You Think You Are returned to 3,248,000.
Quizzy Mondays returned to BBC Two, with Only Connect consolidating to 2,153,000. The Hit List returned on Saturday night with 2,120,000 on BBC One. A repeat of The 1% Club on ITV was watched by 2,177,000.
Elsewhere, Match Of The Day returned with 3,052,000, Long Lost Family with 2,461,000, The Repair Shop with 2,490,000 and Antiques Roadshow with 3,551,000. Casualty was watched by 2,680,000.
In soaps, Coronation Street was the most watched scripted title of the week with 4,445,000 on Monday night. Emmerdale hit a high on Wednesday night with 3,883,000 and EastEnders regained its BBC One slot with a high of 3,283,000 on Tuesday night.
