RATINGS REPORT: GLADIATORS, THE TRAITORS, DANCING ON ICE AND AFTER THE FLOOD

The +7 day consolidated ratings for programmes shown or released week 08th-14th January 2024 have been released by BARB. The top-50 breakdown can be found on BARB's website here.



After surpassing all expectations when it launched to 6 million viewers, it's no surprise that Gladiators tops the week as the most watched programme across all channels, with episode 1 consolidating to 8,364,000 viewers.



In second and third place was Monday's Silent Witness and Sunday's episode of Vera, both tied with 6,715,000 viewers on BBC One and ITV1 respectively. The second week of The Traitors delivered a high of just over 6.5m for Friday's episode. Wednesday's episode was watched by 6.48m and Thursday's by 6.37m.


In drama, Call The Midwife was watched by 6,353,000 on Sunday night. ITV launched new six-part drama After The Flood to a respectable 5,686,000 on Wednesday night. Grantchester returned to ITV with 3,441,000. The Tourist continued with just under 3.5m at 9pm on Sunday night on BBC One.



Dancing On Ice returned to ITV with new co-host Stephen Mulhern alongside Holly Willoughby. The new series launched with 4,227,000 on ITV1. The night before, The Masked Singer was watched by just over 4.7m and Limitless Win by 3.75m. Michael McIntyre's Big Show returned to more than 5.7m on BBC One.


In soaps, the most-watched episode of Coronation Street was Wednesday night's with 4,877,000. Emmerdale hit a high on Tuesday night with just over 4.3m and EastEnders' most viewed episode was Monday night's with just under 4m.
