QUEENS FOR THE NIGHT 'SET TO RETURN FOR MORE SPECIALS' ON ITV

EXCLUSIVE ITV entertainment programme Queens For The Night is set to return, with ITV in discussions about future specials, TV Zone understands.

Queens For The Night, which is produced by Tuesday's Child, aired on ITV last Autumn and saw a cast of celebrities channel their inner drag queen for one night only in a competition like no other.

TV Zone understands that, although future episodes have not yet been commissioned, talks are underway about brining the show back for more glittering specials later this year following good ratings and the positive audience reaction for the first special.

This primetime celebrity drag contest pairs each wannabe queen with their very own drag mentor, as they attempt to master this uniquely difficult craft. The celebrity wannabes also hone one of the distinctive disciplines, including singing, impressions and comedy, that each drag artist will expertly enact.

The celebrities, who last time included Simon Gregson, Mr Motivator, Adam Woodyatt and Chris Hughes, then performing live in front of a panel of expert judges and a live studio audience in a bid to be crowned the ultimate champion.

Queens For The Night is hosted by drag superfan Lorraine Kelly. She was joined by a panel made up of pop icon Melanie C, comedian Rob Beckett, Drag artist Courtney Act and actor Layton Williams.

Queens For The Night is available on ITVX. ITV have not announced whether Queens For The Night will be returning.
