PYRAMID: JANE McDONALD HOSTS UK PILOT FOR US GAMESHOW FORMAT

Late last year, a pilot for UK version of hit US gameshow format Pyramid was recorded at Dock10 in MediaCity.

Pyramid is a word-association game format which airs in America on ABC and previously on CBS and three teams, each comprising of a celebrity and civilian contestant, compete against each other against the clock to win the grand prize of £60,000.

Each pair takes in turns to describe words to each other, without being able to say the word itself.

Website Bother's Bar reports that the UK non-TX pilot was an hour-long primetime edition hosted by Jane McDonald, with ITV the likely broadcaster. Celebrity guests were reportedly Justin Moorhouse, Marlon Davis, and Jenny Ryan.
