PREVIEW: Grayson's Art Club (Series Two)

For the first episode of the new series of Grayson's Art Club, Grayson and Philippa Perry are joined by musician and artist Boy George, who creates an artwork inspired by family, which is the show's theme of the week.

Grayson also meets photographer David Bailey, to talk about his passion for painting; and artist Yinka Illori, whose work fuses stories from his British and Nigerian heritage. There is a special contribution from guests, including Harry Hill.

The first celebrity guests who’ll be creating brand new works of art in response to Grayson’s themes are musician Boy George, illusionist Derren Brown, actor Russell Tovey, presenters Sue Perkins and Konnie Huq, and comedians Johnny Vegas and Mawaan Rizwan. Food writer and television chef Nigella Lawson will be giving Grayson a helping hand during food week to select some of the public submissions whilst pop-star Sophie Ellis-Bextor will also make a guest appearance in Dreams week.

Grayson will also be paying a virtual visit to fellow artists’ studios including Yinka Illori, David Bailey, Rose Wylie, Sir Frank Bowling and Ryan Gander.

The six-episode run will see Grayson incorporate weekly themes for members of the public to submit artwork to. The themes for series two are Family, Nature, Food, Dreams, Work and Travel.

Grayson's Art Club returns Friday 26th February at 8pm on Channel 4.
