PREVIEW: AMERICA DECIDES 2020 - WHERE TO WATCH IN THE UK

BBC, ITV and Sky reveal election coverage plans.


BBC One/ BBC News Channel

Broadcast: Tuesday 3rd November, 11.30pm GMT/6.30pm ET.

Katty will be broadcasting from Washington, with Andrew providing interviews and analysis from London. Katty and Andrew have both played major roles in the BBC’s US election coverage in the past, co-hosting the results night coverage together in 2016.

Jon Sopel and Clive Myrie will be with the Trump and Biden campaigns on election night, with BBC reporters including Emily Maitlis and Nick Bryant in the crucial battleground states and a panel of expert political strategists assessing how the night unfolded, how the campaign was lost and the impact the US electorate’s decision will have on the years ahead.

BBC US Election 2020 will feature big-screen graphic analysis from Christian Fraser, and Tina Daheley will also be bringing audiences news bulletins throughout the night.


ITV

Broadcast: Tuesday 3rd November, 11pm-6am

Presenter(s): Tom Bradby, Robert Moore, Julie Etchingham


Tom Bradby will present from Washington DC as the lead presenter of Trump vs Biden: The Results and will be accompanied in the studio by Washington correspondent, Robert Moore and US political analyst Dr. Keneshia Grant, Julie Etchingham will report live from the swing state of Florida. They will be joined by an impressive cast of other politicians, campaigners and voters from across the US political spectrum who will provide unrivalled insight and analysis, including Anthony Scaramucci, Ann Coulter and Martin Luther King III.

Outside the main studio, ITV News will be watching for the winners and losers of the night, providing breaking news and informed analysis from across the US and the rival political base camps. Rageh Omaar will follow Trump and Emma Murphy will follow Biden and throughout the night a host of ITV News’s top correspondents will also provide additional insight from across the US.


Sky News

Broadcast: Tuesday 3rd November, 10pm-6am

Presenter(s): Dermot Murnaghan, Cordelia Lynch, Ed Conway, Sophy Ridge


Anchored by Dermot Murnaghan, America Decides will provide unparalleled coverage of the race as it happens on a night that will shape the destiny of America - and the world at large. Accompanied by US Correspondent Cordelia Lynch, former aide to Donald Trump, Omarosa Manigault Newman and the former British Ambassador to the US Sir Kim Darroch. There will also be the academic and polling expert Ashley Koning.

On the night, the US coverage will be complimented by Ed Conway’s Augmented Reality set-up at Sky’s HQ in London where a stunning ‘Race to the White House’ will allow viewers to visualise which presidential candidate is leading as the state results roll in.
