Twenty-two everyday New Zealanders join Paul Henry at Claremont Manor at the foot of Mount Horrible in the hope of winning up to $100,000.

And it’s not long before they are questioning everything and everyone as Paul’s Traitors get straight to work manipulating their fellow players. With early alliances forming and suspicions already rife, will the Traitors make it through their first night undetected? And which unfortunate Faithful will they choose to murder first?
After an unforeseen twist, the Traitors band together to make a tough choice. The next morning, the players arrive at breakfast to await the news of the first murder. Reeling from the shocking exit of one of their own, accusations start to fly.
Paul sends the group on a mission to continue building money for the prize pot. As evening descends on Claremont Manor, the players head to the Round Table for the first banishment. Will the Faithful catch a Traitor, or will they banish one of their own?
The Faithful anxiously wait to see who has been murdered by the Traitors overnight. Paul gives the players the opportunity to mourn the death of the murdered Faithful in a controversial challenge to help build up the prize fund. And later, tensions run high at the Round Table, resulting in a nail-biting tiebreaker vote.
The fate of two players is decided at the Round Table – who will be banished? And who gets to stay? A morbid twist is revealed at breakfast when three players learn they are in the firing line. Later that night, they go head to head to prove their innocence – but who has already dug their own grave?
The Faithful mourn the loss of another player, while a Traitor sees an opportunity to advance their own game. With their numbers dwindling, the Faithful are eager to get their hands on a shield in Paul’s latest challenge. Later, at the Round Table, an unsuspecting player must defend themselves as accusations fly.
The Traitors New Zealand returns Monday 16th June on BBC Three.
