THE CRUISE RETURNS TO CHANNEL 5 FOR SECOND SERIES

A new season on a new ship – Valiant Lady as she sails around fabulous locations in The Mediterranean. Narrated by Sheridan Smith, the series follows the lives of the busy, in-demand crew and the passengers onboard.

In episode one: veteran sailors Karen and Leigh are on their 24th cruise. It’s a special voyage for them, celebrating Leigh’s 50th birthday, and they planned to be joined by friends and family onboard. But a combination of cancelled flights and missing luggage threatens to sink their plans before they’ve even begun.

Irish couple Danielle and Jay are on board to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary. It’s their first trip away together without their daughter, and they’re determined to make the most of having a week off from being “Mum and Dad”.

We meet effervescent sailor services manager Dane. He has his hands full as he tries to grapple with the challenges that come with the arrival of new sailors. From lost cases to double booked cabins, he is the go-to man if you’ve got a problem on board. Will Dane be able to keep his very demanding sailors happy?

And this week’s sailors are in for a treat, as the ship’s resident drag queen, Miss Titty Kaka, performs her wild and wonderful drag show. It’s the first night of a new cruise, and as Miss Titty battles the pre-show nerves and gets herself all dolled up and ready to hit the stage, the sailors strap in and prepare for a show unlike anything they’ve ever seen before.
