SUCH BRAVE GIRLS: FIRST LOOK IMAGES FROM BBC THREE COMEDY

Dysfunctional family sitcom following sisters Josie (Kat Sadler) and Billie (played by Kat’s real-life sister, Lizzie Davidson) and their single mother Deb (Louise Brealey) navigating life armed with nothing but poor judgement and self-esteem exclusively tied to people who couldn't care less about them.

They're vain, selfish, heavily in debt, pathologically desperate for affection and bursting with misplaced, terrifying love.

Deb invites new boyfriend Dev (Paul Bazely) home to meet her daughters Billie and Josie, whilst desperately trying to suppress how troubled they are. Josie’s face isn’t doing a very good job of covering up how depressed she is, so Deb sets out to teach her how fulfilling capitalism can be, by taking her shopping.

Billie spots the love of her life Nicky (Sam Buchanan) with a new girl, so decides to win him back with a significant change to her appearance and discovers just how much love hurts.

Phil Clarke, Executive Producer, VAL says: “Completely original, dark, and incredibly funny are the words I'd use to describe Kat Sadler's writing. Such Brave Girls is a family sitcom, but unlike any sitcom you've seen before. It's brave, truthful and contemporary. New narrative comedy writing for TV at its absolute best“

Jack Bayles, Executive Producer, VAL says: “In Such Brave Girls Kat has created an absolute gem of a comedy. It’s timely, thought provoking and brutally brutally funny. We couldn’t be happier to be working with her.”

TX information for Such Brave Girls will be announced in due course. Such Brave Girls (6x22) is a VAL and A24 production for BBC Three and BBC iPlayer.
