Robson Green's Weekend Escapes | Series 2 Preview (BBC Two)

Robson will again be taking the roads less travelled around his beloved North East, journeying to many of the hidden gems that reside within the region as well as venturing into the Lakes and the Scottish Borders.



Immersing themselves in the great outdoors Robson and friends will travel to the North and South Tyne valley along with the Pennine Way as well as through the charismatic County of Cumbria which includes the jaw dropping vistas of The Lake District and of course the amazing outdoor adventures in the beautiful Border county.



Joined by family, friends and famous faces the series will once again highlight the importance of blending into the outdoors to relax, recharge and re-connect along with breathing in nature. Robson and friends will travel to the North and South Tyne valley and everything in-between.


Joining Robson on his travels this series will be guests such as Kevin Whately, Tanni Grey Thompson and Shola Ameobi to name a few. And of course the family will be getting involved, including Robson’s Uncle Matheson, back by popular demand!




In the first episode, Robson spends time with old friend and actor Kevin Whately. They reminisce about their times growing up in north east England before heading to Alnmouth beach to try their hands at making pictures in the sand at low tide.



The pair take to the water when a boat comes in to join a team of sea-going rowers and try their hand at the Border pipes. Later, Robson spends the night in a cabin on a farm at Tughall before attempting the art of willow weaving.


Robson Green's Weekend Escapes begins Monday 1st January on BBC Two.
