The BBC has announced I Kissed A Girl will return for a second and final series this Spring before both I Kissed A Boy and I Kissed A Girl are shelved.

A BBC spokesperson told The Sun: "We are exceptionally proud of I Kissed A Boy/Girl, the UK’s first dating show for the LGBTQ+ community. We would like to thank our fabulous cupid Dannii Minogue and the entire team at Twofour for bringing the series to screen. Unfortunately, we have to make difficult choices in light of our funding challenges and there are no current plans for the show to return."
Returning to host I Kissed A Girl this year, and to make sure the girls make connections and find their match is pop icon and LGBTQ+ ally Dannii Minogue. I Kissed a Girl is the first UK dating series for queer girls with the I Kissed brand paving the way for LGBTQ+ representation on mainstream television.
I Kissed a Girl won Best Media Moment at the DIVA awards and was nominated for a raft of gongs including Outstanding Reality Competition Programme at the GLAAD awards and Best Multichannel Programme at the Broadcast Awards.
Back for another 10 part series, 10 single girls are matched up, and meet for the first time...with a kiss. No chat. No messages. Just one kiss to test their chemistry straight away. Will their kiss be sweet and pure? Passionate and wild? And ultimately, will that first kiss lead to love? Dannii Minogue will throw open the doors to a beautiful location perfect for the ultimate summer of love.
Before they arrive, the girls are matched up based on what they're looking for in a partner. After meeting their match for the first time with a kiss, they're encouraged to give their new relationship a good shot. However, the girls must ultimately do what's right for them, because everyone is a possibility in this love game.
Also back is the brilliantly witty, and hilariously funny Charley Marlowe who will narrate the highs, the lows and all the steam in between.
More details will be announced in due course.
