Rebekah Vardy: Jehovah Witnesses And Me | Preview (Channel 4)

Rebekah Vardy, the subject of huge press interest and the high profile Wagatha Christie trial, tells her own story for the first time on television.

She grew up as a Jehovah's Witness, and says the religion failed to support her through sexual abuse and shunned her as a child. She wants answers, and goes on a personal and investigative journey to look back at what happened, talking about the profound effect this has had on her.

She meets former members of the Jehovah's Witnesses including an exclusive interview with a victim of child abuse. She also hears from a former member who has gathered thousands of secret documents that shine a light on the inner workings of the organisation.

This film shows a side to one of the UK's most famous women that has not been told before.

Rebekah Vardy: Jehovah Witnesses And Me airs Tuesday 16th May at 10pm on Channel 4.
