It’s time to really get the festivities going. We are hosting the ultimate party as four simply brilliant MasterChef champions get dressed to impress and compete for a title even greater than their last - the right to be crowned MasterChef Champion of Champions 2025.

The chefs competing are 2013 trophy holder Natalie Coleman, Thomas Frake, who took the crown in 2020, 2023’s champion Chariya Khattiyot, who has taken the festive dress code to new heights, and Brin Pirathapan, who came up trumps in 2024.
These cooks have already proven they have what it takes to win, but how will they fare against each other? One thing is for sure: none of them wants to spend Christmas Day with the runner-up blues, so this will be a showdown to remember.
Two tasks lie ahead, both designed to boost the already abundant festive cheer and to inspire the champions to create plates of food that will leave the judges in raptures.
The first brief is to cook something fit for royalty: a meal that celebrates this glorious season with style and pizzazz. This dish must be a five-star showstopper that delivers the thrills of a red carpet and flavours worthy of the finest state banquet. Extravagance and opulence are the order of the day.
To add a sense of occasion, the judges have invited a special guest to help them pick their stand-out dish, and who better than a man who knows a thing or two about royalty and also has experience of spotting MasterChef champions a mile off: revered restaurant critic Tom Parker Bowles.
This is an opportunity for the champions to go all out, and even bring a little fun to an extraordinary brief. So get ready to celebrate in style and take this festive season to even grander heights. It might also give you some tips on how to push the boat out on the big day.
Next up is an equally tall order, as the judges are keen to see just how far these chefs have progressed since they competed as amateurs. They have all since made waves in the food industry, so expectations are through the roof. They will prepare two of the best courses they have ever cooked in the MasterChef kitchen, and they might just pip the others to the post.
One stand-out cook will spend Christmas with even more bragging rights as they hold the Golden Pan trophy aloft and declare themselves MasterChef Champion of Champions 2025.
MasterChef Festive Extravaganza - Champion of Champions airs Monday 29th December on BBC One.
