Late Night Lycett: Christmas Special | Preview (Channel 4)
Joe Lycett and Channel 4 celebrate the most wonderful time of the year with a one-off festive special of Late Night Lycett (not) live from Birmingham.
Guests on the It's Christmas special are Mel B, Aisling Bea, Self Esteem, Guz Khan and Shaun Ryder. Joe's Aunties are back and the team return to Hardev's shop with a mystery celebrity secret Santa.
Joe also turns Santa himself where he gives one member of the studio audience to win a very special prize. With fun and inclusivity at heart, Late Night Lycett celebrates the city and its diversity, making stars of the locals.
Earlier this year, Channel 4 announces it had commissoined a second series after the success of the first series, which was +35% up on Individual share and a remarkable +126% for 16-34’s against the Monday to Sunday 10pm slot average.
The first series witnessed celebs from Natalie Cassidy to Paul Chuckle running riot in Joe’s local corner shop, created the nation’s new sweetheart in the form of production trainee Linda Biscuits.
Saw Joe give away his very own car to an audience member; and introduced controversial straight-talking newsreader Richard Yewtree to challenge the woke agenda.
Joe Lycett said: “The first series of Late Night Lycett was the most fun I've ever had making TV. From Paul Chuckle destroying my local corner shop to Katherine Ryan being trapped on a floating barge, the whole thing feels like a crazed fever dream. I can't wait to go bigger and wilder in series two.”
Late Night Lycett Christmas Special airs Thursday 21st December on Channel 4.
