Inside The Factory | Series 9 Preview (BBC One)

Inside the Factory explores the fascinating processes in the factories that produce some of our favourite products. Whether it’s learning how millions of individual chocolates are wrapped at high speed, or uncovering the surprising techniques used to create leather boots, the series is a celebration of manufacturing in the UK and beyond.



Paddy McGuinness will join follow presenters Cherry Healey and historian Ruth Goodman for the ninth series of Inside the Factory, which goes behind the scenes to discover the secrets of the incredible machines that produce our everyday favourites, spotlighting the skill and hard work of the factory workers.



Paddy visits some of the biggest factories in the country, immersing himself in the incredible production of some of our favourite foods, from flapjacks to sausage rolls. He even makes a nostalgic trip to the Warburtons bread factory in his hometown of Bolton, where he worked over thirty years ago.


Whether it’s learning how four million of chocolates are made every day, visiting a factory that churns out five hundred million packets of cheese curls a year, or following a high-tech printing process that produces two whole books every second - the series is a celebration of manufacturing, shining a light on the skill and hard work of factory workers across the UK and beyond!




In the first episode of the new series, new presenter Paddy McGuinness makes a nostalgic visit to the Warburtons bread factory in his hometown of Bolton, where he had a Saturday job over thirty years ago.


Inside The Factory returns Tuesday 7th January at 8pm on BBC One.
